The strongest cleaner is not automatically the best choice for every job. Start with the soil, the surface and the task. A routine film on a washable counter presents a different question from stubborn carbon buildup on compatible commercial kitchen equipment.
Describe the soil first
Separate everyday oils and non-burnt grease from deposits associated with demanding cooking equipment. Note whether the problem is a thin film, a local deposit or repeated buildup in the same location. This description helps avoid treating every kitchen surface as a heavy-duty degreasing task.
Multi-SF is Aspin’s multi-surface cleaner for everyday grime, oils and non-burnt grease. Ben’s Degreaser is a professional foaming alkaline cleaner for demanding grease and carbon-removal applications on compatible equipment.
Check the material and finish
Identify the surface from the equipment documentation. Include coatings, adjacent trim, seals and nearby materials that could be contacted during cleaning. A metal-looking finish does not identify the underlying material or establish chemical compatibility.
Ben’s Degreaser carries significant handling precautions, including warnings about soft metals. Do not choose it solely because another surface in the kitchen tolerated it. Read the current label and SDS and confirm the equipment manufacturer’s permitted method.
Use a simple selection record
- Item and location.
- Material and finish, with the source of that information.
- Soil type and extent.
- Product proposed and its intended application.
- Required preparation, application and rinsing instructions.
- Person who confirmed suitability.
If the material or instructions remain uncertain, keep the task on hold for clarification. A hidden-area test does not replace a compatibility restriction in the product or equipment instructions.
Build two routines where appropriate
A kitchen may need routine cleaning and a separately planned heavy-duty task. Give each a defined product, owner and instruction sheet. Do not encourage employees to escalate from one to the other without a clear procedure.
Use the surface inventory guide to prepare the selection, and contact Aspin when you need advice about matching its products to your operation.
