ASPIN CLEANING GUIDES / Equipment & Service

Questions to Ask About Dishwasher Service Coverage

Clarify attendance, included work, exclusions and approval responsibilities before relying on a commercial dishwasher service arrangement.

The phrase “service included” is too broad to plan around. It may refer to scheduled maintenance, telephone support, certain repairs or a combination of services. Ask for the actual scope in writing and connect it to the machine and location involved.

Start by identifying the equipment covered and the person authorised to request work. For a business with multiple locations, confirm whether each site has the same arrangement.

Understand the service promise

Ask about normal service hours, the process for urgent requests and any stated attendance commitments. Distinguish the time to acknowledge a request from the time to attend or complete a repair. Parts availability and diagnosis may affect what can be promised.

Confirm how requests are recorded and how updates reach the site. A shared reference number can prevent two shifts from arranging duplicate visits for the same issue.

Clarify included and excluded work

Discuss labour, travel, parts, consumables, planned maintenance and work outside normal hours. Ask whether a diagnostic visit and a follow-up repair are treated separately. Record any approval threshold and who may authorise extra work.

Do not assume that chemical supply, operator training or replacement equipment is included merely because it was discussed during a sales conversation. Each relevant item belongs in the written scope.

Define the site's responsibilities

The provider may need safe access, an available representative and equipment records. The business also needs to understand its own operator-care responsibilities and how changes to the installation or product supply should be communicated.

Keep the agreed contact route visible to supervisors. Store the complete terms where the authorised manager can retrieve them; a short staff contact card should not attempt to replace the agreement.

Review the arrangement when the machine, location, operating hours or ownership changes. Those changes can affect the assumptions under which support was arranged.

Use Aspin's equipment and service page to start a specific conversation. Bring the machine details from the service-call guide and request clarification of any wording that matters to your operation before relying on it.
