Accessible information and documents

On request, we will provide or arrange accessible formats and communication supports for information about our products and services, including safety data sheets (SDS). We will consult with you about a suitable format and provide it in a timely manner, taking your accessibility needs into account, at no more than the regular cost charged to others.

Please identify the page, product or document you need and your preferred way to receive it. Examples may include large print, an accessible electronic document or assistance communicating the information. If information cannot be converted, we will explain why and provide a summary of the information that cannot be converted.

Accessibility feedback and complaints

We welcome feedback about our website and the accessibility of our customer service. Send feedback or a complaint by email, telephone, mail or in person using the contact details above. Accessible formats and communication supports for this process are available on request.

Tell us what happened, the page address if relevant, and how you would like us to respond. You do not need to provide a medical diagnosis. If you want a reply, include a way to contact you.

The Aspin team will review your feedback, discuss the barrier and possible accommodation with you where needed, and respond in a timely manner using a suitable communication method. For complaints, we will explain the action we can take and any next steps; if resolution takes longer, we will provide an update.

Accessible customer service

We will communicate in ways that take a person’s disability into account and support the use of personal assistive devices. Service animals and support persons are welcome in areas open to the public. If another law excludes a service animal from an area, we will work with the person to provide another way to access our goods or services.

If a support person is considered necessary for health or safety, we will first consult with the person, consider the available evidence and other reasonable options. Where applicable, admission charges for support persons will be disclosed in advance and waived when we require the support person.

Temporary service disruptions

When a facility or service that people with disabilities rely on is temporarily unavailable, we will provide notice with the reason, expected duration and available alternatives. Notices will be provided where affected customers can find them, such as at the premises and, where appropriate, on this website or through direct communication.

Using this website

The website includes a Skip to content link, keyboard-operated menus and descriptive links to safety documents. Some downloadable or third-party content may still present barriers. Contact us if any page, form or document is difficult to use so we can help you access the information or service.

Recruitment accommodations

Accommodations for applicants with disabilities are available on request during recruitment and selection. Contact us using the details above to discuss the support you need for an application, assessment or interview. We will consult with you about a suitable accommodation.

Policy and training

Our policy is to identify and address barriers, provide accessibility training appropriate to staff roles, and review our practices when needs or services change. This includes accessible customer service, applicable AODA requirements and the Ontario Human Rights Code as it relates to disability. Policies that undermine dignity or equal access will be reviewed and changed.

This policy is available in an accessible format on request.
